I thought I'd ask my blog readership if there were any therapeutic topics that you might want me to expound on in a Thursday Thought post. As most of you know, my Thursday Therapeutic Thoughts are not centered around a character assessment, they are just random posts dealing with some aspect of psychology or human behavior and then I apply that to writing.
Since I want to write about things of interest to my readers, let me know your questions in the comment section! If you can't think of anything, never fear. I've got an arsenal of things to write about...TTTs will go on. :)

No questions here, except, how are you adjusting to your new move? I hope everything is going well. Have fun finding the best ice cream joint this summer!
How thoughtful, Jeannie! You're so sweet.
Is there a term for when someone obsesses over fearing something to the point where physical symptoms, like localized pain, appears?
Does that make any sense?
Ooh, I'd be interested in Eileen's question and answer!
I liked when you talked about anxiety attacks too, because at the time my heroine was having them.
But this new heroine has had some losses in her life. I'd be interested in seeing a post on different ways people handle grief, and how it might affect their relationships.
Is there such a thing as unbalanced maturity? I have a character who is very mature and efficient with some things, but his regular social skills always seem deficient.
In my mind, I know what kind of person he is, but I have no clue if this is something real to life.
Also, reactions to abuse, violence, or sudden death of a close friend are all topics I'm writing about and would love to have more background on.
You know what just sort of popped into my head? Phobias. Like how do people develop phobias? And what sort of reactions do people have when they are forced to face their phobias? A fun Thursday post could be listing all the phobias. There are really some very odd ones out there.
I used to have a "phobia" of blackbird. (I put it into quotations because I'm sure it wasn't an actual full-out phobia) but I used to go jogging with a tennis racket because I was deathly afraid of this one black bird that used to try to peck my head. No joke, Jeannie! Oh my gosh, I' laughing right now. But remind me to tell you this story sometime.
sorry...I just realized that if you say the word "phobia" enough, it sounds like SUCH a weird word!
eileen - the term for what you're describing is a psychosomatic illness. i can definitely post about that some time.
jessica - i did a post here on the stages of grief that might help you out. reactions to grief are so varied...if you have something more specific in mind that the post doesn't help with, them email me and i can do a more specific assessment. :)
liana - sounds like you might be describing a mild case of Asperger's Syndrome, which i did a post on here. If it doesn't fit, feel free to email me more specifics about your character.
katie - i'm all over a post about phobia. you and your blackbird. ha! i didn't realize my crit partner was a nut. :)
