Twittering @jeanniecampbell

I've bucked up and joined FINALLY. And honestly, I've decided that I'm really going to like it. I spent quite a while today figuring out how to link it to facebook, how to link my blog to twitter and hot to link twitter to my blog. And since facebook is already linked to my blog, that completes the circle!

Thanks to some help from Barb Early, she recommended I use TwitterFeed to link my blog to twitter. This way, every time I post an entry, it sends a feed to twitter saying I have a new entry and gives a tiny url. (All of this is in theory...I'll be checking everything out to see if it does this after I post this post!) And instead of my entire note posting on facebook, this should increase traffic to my blog b/c it gives the url instead to send people to my blog. (And facebook doesn't own the content...if and when that ever fully gets decided in the future.)

So...assuming this all goes through, I'll post a comment in the comment section to let you know!
Oh, and if you're on twitter...look me up!

Jeannie I have a question for you, I want to use a pen name for my novels so my question is this: Should I make a facebook with my pen name? I'm not sure that's allowed is it?

Good for you and I am already following you! Twitterfeed is a great thing!!! And what is that about FB owning content? I've never heard that.

well, it hasn't worked YET...but twitterfeed hasn't checked the feed yet. (whatever that means.) :)

t anne - so not the person to ask. i deliberately didn't pick a pen name b/c of all the hassle. it seems more and more authors out there use their real names and just take measures to protect their privacy.

sherrinda - there was a big hoopla about facebook saying they owned the content of whatever was on your page. they took it back later, but from what i understand, reserve the right to maybe take control of our content again. google this. but using twitterfeed should absolve me of problems...since my actual blog content won't show on facebook. at least, that's what i think.

Ahhh, I see. Well, I have my blog feed into my notes on FB. I get some comments on the notes that I don't on the blog. (different circle of friends, I guess) :)
I'll have to google that and see what's up, not that I really have anything fed into FB that is worth some moola! lol

My real name is so unique I google myself and it offers a map to my house. =( Why can't my name be Mary Smith?

Eek! You did it. I have to say, the thought of trying to link everything really overwhelms me, even though it sounds like once it's done it'll save time.
Thanks for the heads up about Facebook. I'd heard of that but didn't "get" it until just now.

I must try and do this, too. Sounds daunting though. :(
